With Love, Nina was born from two things that have always meant a lot to me: the magic of making something with your own hands, and the little pieces of life that become memories long after the moment has passed.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time watching my grandma at her sewing machine. There was something so special about seeing her take a piece of fabric and turn it into something completely her own. I think, without realising it at the time, she gave me my love for clothing, creativity and the idea that something made with care will always feel a little more special.
Fast forward to 2024, and I found myself experiencing another kind of love- becoming a bride myself.
I loved all the little details that came with getting married: the getting-ready mornings, the celebrations, the outfits, the photos and all those tiny moments in between. But I also found myself struggling to find the pieces I wanted. I wanted something cute, personal and special, without spending a fortune on something I might only wear once.
And it made me think about how much pressure we put on ourselves to have the perfect experience.
We live in a world of Pinterest boards, TikTok trends and picture-perfect weddings, where it can sometimes feel like we're constantly trying to keep up. The matching pyjamas. The bridal accessories. The 'must-have' moments. The things we're told we need to make an occasion feel special.
But I don't think special has to mean expensive.
And I don't think meaningful has to mean extravagant.
That's where With Love, Nina came from.
